Welcome to Pura Vida

Dreaming of living in a tropical paradise? Then check out our Costa Rica real estate listings and turn that dream into a reality.

In recent years, Costa Rica has become a popular haven for North American retirees and expats and for good reason: the lifestyle here is incredibly affordable and offers a sense of peace and relaxation not found in many other locations.

In Costa Rica, ‘the local commute’ generally refers to catching a wave, your noisiest neighbors are raging waterfalls and packs of playful monkeys, and your backyard can be a lush tropical jungle. But beyond some pretty incredible scenery and wildlife, Costa Rica makes a great place to retire to or own a vacation home for a few other reasons. For starters, we have universal healthcare here. If you become a full-time Costa Rica citizen you can receive fantastic free healthcare. Even if you only plan on vacationing here a few times a year, out-of-pocket costs are staggering low compared to the U.S. and hospitals in the capital of San Jose are world-class with highly-trained physicians.

The government and economy are also very stable in Costa Rica, and generally speaking, the country is extremely safe. In fact, Costa Rica abolished its army back in 1950 and is the only country in Latin America to be considered one of the most stable democracies in the world.

And finally, the locals, or Ticos, are some of the warmest and most hospitable people on the planet. They truly love their country and welcome tourists and expats to come and love it as well.

We can speak from experience when we say to be welcomed to a foreign country to such an extent is priceless. Without question we feel like we are living the second half of our lives in our second home. We invite everyone who is looking for a peaceful, affordable life, filled with beauty and peace, to consider making Costa Rica your new home as well.

One quick word of caution: many of the local real estate agents here are not accredited. They talk a good game, but most have no formalized real estate training.

As a group of Canadian and American realtors, we have the same standards and expectations for business transactions that you’re accustomed to at home. Our sales team are all real REALTORS and members of CRGAR – with numerous North American and International Realtor training courses under our belts.

We love living here and it makes us happy to help others make their dream of living in paradise a reality. As one of the top real estate companies in Costa Rica, we believe in getting to know our clients and their goals, so we can help them make the best financial decisions.
